The USL released its 2018 conference alignment this morning. Nashville SC joins 15 other teams in the Easter Conference. The league is now at 33 teams with the most recent addition of Indy Eleven moving from NASL to USL and Orlando City B not playing at Division II level in 2018.

The 2018 USL schedule has not been released, but this provides a clearer picture which teams Nashville SC will play during the 34-game regular season. USL said it wanted to create regional rivalries with the new conference alignment.

The closest teams to Nashville in the Eastern Conference include Louisville City FC (reigning USL champions), FC Cincinnati, ATL UTD 2, Charlotte Independence and Indy Eleven. The potential rivalry with Saint Louis FC is lost as the club moves from the Eastern Conference to the Western Conference.
